FAQ

  • What is the booking process?

To get a personalized quote, please share your wedding date, location, and requirements through this platform or via email.

Once the quote is approved, I will send over a contract for review and send a payment link for a 50% deposit to secure the booking.

As your wedding day approaches, I will double-check all the details to ensure everything runs smoothly.

On the day of the wedding, I will arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the scheduled start time to set up.

At the end of the booked service time, there will be a chance to either extend the painting service or wrap up for the event, where I say my goodbyes and depart.

Payment of the remaining balance can be made on the day of or within a week after the wedding.

  • Can guests talk to you and watch you while you paint?

    Yes, please!

Live wedding painting not only adds a unique touch to your wedding but also entertains guests. Guests love to watch me work and are always amazed by the final product. It's a great conversation starter and brings joy to everyone involved!

  • Will you be able to paint everyone?

It is important to note that for weddings with a large number of guests (over 50 people), I may not be able to create portraits for every individual due to time constraints. It takes approximately 7-10 minutes to draw one portrait and even longer for couples and groups. Additionally, not all guests may be interested in getting a portrait done.

  • Do you travel?

Travel is included in a one-hour drive to your wedding venue if it's located in Sonoma or Napa County.

For venues farther than a two-hour drive, a travel fee will apply, which will be agreed upon before booking.

Full-day bookings more than 2 hours away from Sonoma County may involve additional costs for one or two nights of accommodation, depending on the wedding schedule.

    International Travel

I have the pleasure of traveling to various locations around the globe and I would be delighted to provide my painting services at your wedding. However, it is important to note that expenses such as flights, car rental, and accommodation will be the client’s responsibility and we can discuss them further before finalizing the contract.

  • What are your travel fees?

1 hr or within Sonoma County included

    2 hr $75

    3 hr $150

    4 hr $225

    5 hr $300

Overnight +$200 (added for 3+ hour travel)

  • Do you paint LGBTQIA+ weddings?

    Of course!

  • What do you need from your client?

I’ve created my art in various locations such as gardens, dance floors, bars, and dinner halls. All I require is about 4 feet of space, including a table for my easel and finished portraits, and a chair or two. During spring and summer, I am happy to work outdoors, weather permitting.

The area allocated for illustration must have sufficient lighting. Inadequate lighting would hinder the quality and efficiency of the artwork, which would be regrettable. It is recommended that you take this into account while scheduling an event that runs into the evening or if the venue is not well-lit.

  • I already had my big day, can you still paint it?

Yes, wedding commissions start at $250 for the happy couple on 11x14 paper. Additional people or pets can be added as long as a photo of them is provided. These paintings are thoughtful and creative presents for a special occasion like a birthday, Christmas, or anniversary.

  • Can I have additonal people, pets or passed loved ones in my painting?

In our consultation, we can include other people, animals, or meaningful objects. We'll discuss how to incorporate them together to create a final painting you will love for a lifetime.

  • Are you insured?

Yes, I am insured for events by A.C.T Insurance.
